     The Machine was quite a huge let down after the moderate amount of praise I received for Macabre. The layout was fine, Dapak inspired I believe, but no one, except myself, liked the textures. It received a moderate review at the Deathmatch Pineapple but not much else. After this map, I decided I really wasn't getting anywhere with my mapping and didn't feel like my skills were getting any better, so I decided to quit the scene. While this map didn't have much going for it, I have use parts of this map in other maps since, sort of as a test as to what makes a map good and bad. For example, take a look at the room in the second screenshot above and then look at the second screenshot for Heavy Metal and you'll see what I mean.
